Ethics and Integrity in Ministry (EIM) Training is required for all volunteers of the parish who come in contact with minors or vulnerable adults. In reality, this means most, if not all, volunteers. The more people who take the training course, the safer we will be as a parish.
Bishop Joe Vasquez and the Diocese of Austin are committed to preventing the harm of any of God's people and supporting those who have experienced abuse. Go to www.austindiocese.org/eim to learn about reporting requirements and procedures for what to do if you know or have reasonable cause to believe that abuse of a minor, elderly adult, or adult with a disability has occurred, or if you have concerns about other unethical behavior by church personnel or volunteers.
The more people in our diocese who are trained to spot and report abuse and inappropriate behavior, the safer our parishes, schools, and communities will be for children and vulnerable adults.
To learn more about EIM Policies and compliance requirements, contact our parish EIM Site Administrator, Joanne Selucky [email protected]
To be compliant, one must have an account with VIRTUS.org, attend one initial live training, complete online refresher training every three years thereafter, and consent to a background check every three years.
