VBS is a program that will help kids begin and/or deepen their faith with Jesus. Kids will discover how much God's love is a part of their daily life. Our adult and teen volunteers will help guide the children from station to station all evening. It will be a week full of fun, incredible music and an awesome environment that points kids to Jesus!
 
At True North VBS, your child(ren) will learn that Jesus is a faithful friend we can always trust. The kids will go on an ultimate Alaskan adventure where northern lights glow over majestic mountains, racing rivers and glistening glaciers. As kids trek the tundra, they'll explore how easy it is to lose sight of what's true in our world today. Pointing them toward Jesus, True North VBS will show them that He is a faithful friend we can always trust. He is our True North!

We would love for all the children of our parish and community to attend our VBS program. We are able to offer this program thanks to all the volunteers that so graciously give of their time to make this program a success and help with the safety of our young participants. The more volunteers we get, the smoother the week runs. Please prayerfully consider giving of your time during the week of this camp. We have ​plenty of behind the scene work as well.

What does the VBS week look like? The week is filled with games, experiments, songs and prayers that will reinforce the message that God is a perfect friend to each of us.

Each day's theme is connected to important elements of our faith.

Bible point and Saint of the day

• Monday: "When we wonder, we can trust Jesus"- St. Nicodemus
• Tuesday: " When we feel alone, we can trust Jesus"- Venerable Antonietta Meo
• Wednesday: "When we feel powerless, we can trust Jesus"- St. Maurice
• Thursday:  "When we need hope, we can trust Jesus"- St. Rita of Cascia
• Friday: "When we need help, we can trust Jesus"- St. John Vianney

All registered volunteers will receive communication through the Band app.

Opportunities available:

Adults Station Leaders

• Receive material ahead of time to prepare lesson/activity to be done each day of camp.
• Decorate/prepare room or area where the station is taking place.
• Teach the same daily lesson or activity to groups that rotate through your station (Lessons/activity change daily). 
• Bring joy and fun to your classroom!

Teen Group Leaders 

• Travel from station to station with your assigned group of teen volunteers and campers.
• Provide guidance and support for your entire group.
• Demonstrate positive leadership skills.
• All teens are asked to help decorate in preparation for VBS. 

Decorating Dates: Shared through Band
Times and locations will be shared through Band to all registered volunteers.

Volunteer Meeting Date: Sunday, July 6th, 2025 | 11:30am-12:30pm
